Using Windows Movie Maker To use this presentation you must: 1.Have your pictures saved to your computer or removable media (memory stick, CD ROM). 2.Have your music saved to your computer.

1.Click on Start 2.Click on All Programs 3.Find Windows Movie Maker from the list

A Screen similar to the one below will appear

On the left hand side click on Pictures Import Media Options dialogue box opens (this is where you can select where your pictures come from) Double click on the folder that your pictures are in

Your pictures will now be showing Click on the picture that you want to insert Click on Import

Your screen should now look like the one below. Repeat the last instruction until you have all of your pictures imported. Tip: When inserting pictures hold down the Ctrl key to select more than one picture at a time.

Imported Pictures Your screen should now look like the one below.

Holding down the Ctrl key click on each of your pictures then drag them down to the storyboard.

You are now ready to add effects to your slideshow Click on Effects on the left hand side of your screen. Click on the effect that you want and drag it down between your picture.

Continue dragging down an effect until you have one between each picture. To add Music Click on Audio or Music on the left hand side

Click on the music that you want to use, then on Import

1.Your screen should now look like the one below. 2.Click on Storyboard as shown below. 3.From the list select Timeline.

Click on the music thumbnail and drag it down to the timeline Thumbnail

Pictures with music added To cut your music to play only to the length of your pictures follow the instruction on the next slide

1.Move your mouse to the end of your music 2.The cursor will change to a double sided red arrow 3.Click and drag the music line back to your last picture
