College and Career Readiness Support Project Partner Update Meeting May 7, 2010

Agenda In today's session, we will discuss the following topics: Project Overview Goals and Products (June 2010-June 2011) Phases of the Project Proposed time line for phases 1 and 2 What we need/next steps Questions and Comments? Our next meeting will be from 11:30-12:30 on June 3, 2010.

Proposed Timeline

Please give us your input on trainings A. Saturday Trainings 9-1 or 10-2 in September (Day 1 and Day 2)  Participants being trained will receive a stipend. B. Weekday trainings 9-1 or 10-2 or afternoons 12-4 (Day 1 and Day 2)  Participants being trained will receive a stipend.

Next Steps What we need from partner districts: feedback about technology use in your district scope of participation (would you like to team with a neighboring district to offer fall professional development?) nomination of people to serve as: o 3-5 trainers per district for fall PD (to be trained in September) o 2-3 teachers interested in writing and developing instructional support resources for Algebra II and English IV o selection of up to 30 teachers per district to be trained in fall pilot (across content areas). o selection of 2-4 teachers to review courses in bridge projects, assessment course
