 A pledge to do something  Devotion  A promise to stick with something and see it through to the end “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).

 The way is hard - v. 58  Family loyalty - vs “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).

 Loving God - Matt. 22:34-40  Serving God - 1 John 5:3; Eph. 2:10  Worshiping God - John 4:23-24 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind” (Matt. 22:37).
