Steps to Doing a Word Study  Select the Word(s)  Examine the Word(s) in a concordance  Organize the verse(s)’ Greek or Hebrew word(s)  Utilize a Lexicon and/or a Theological Dictionary  Make appropriate observations about the word(s)

Make appropriate observations about the word(s)  What is the frequency of the use of word(s)?  Who (biblical author(s)) uses the term?  What is the genre?  What are the immediate and universal contexts?  How do you define the word?  What applications can you make to that word to the Christian Life Today?
