Lab. 11 Modulation/demodulation with RF module  The system: Digital Analog  a(n)a(n) Filter Digital Digital filter (SRRC) Digital Analog  Filter Digital Digital filter (SRRC) DAC /RF ADC /RF PC DSP Map Dem. Implemented with DSP

 Tx experiments: –Use DSP to generate a bit sequence, and conduct modulation and pulse shaping. –Observe the transmit spectrum. –DAC/ADC rate: 4/3Mps –Carrier: 2.31GHz DSP EMIF AnalogDigital DAC ADC FPGA RF SA

 Practice 1: –Use DSP to generate a bit sequence, conduct QPSK mapping, and the pulse shapping. –Then, transmit the signal through DAC and RF module. –Use SA to record the transmit signal. –Use the SA tool to analyze the recorded signal. * Fill the sequence in the 8K memoery

 Rx experiments:  Practice 2: –Use DSP to generate a bit sequence, conduct QPSK mapping, and the pulse shapping. –Then, transmit the signal through DAC/RF module. –Loop back signal and conduct the demodulation with DSP. –Check if the detection result is right. DSP EMIF AnalogDigital DAC ADC FPGA RF

 Practice 3: –Repeat Practice 2. –This time, use antennas instead of the cable for transmission (use the demo board in the front desk).
