EXAMPLE 1: QUESTION LEAD Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? I do! I want to be an architect.

EXAMPLE #2: QUESTION LEAD I wonder how does coach do it? Over the past three years I have been watching this coach lead and teach this team. It inspires me to be a football coach.

EXAMPLE 3: SOUND EFFECT LEAD “Click” I was on my computer going on YouTube to listen to music. But then I clicked on the wrong song. On the other hand that song had almost five-hundred million views. Then I thought being a lead singer is the best job you can have.

EXAMPLE 4: SET-UP LEAD Everybody in the world will one day have a career. There is a variety of choices in careers. Some people choose when they’re young and others choose when they’re older. What I want to be is a doctor.

EXAMPLE 5: FLASHBACK LEAD When I was seven years old I watched the Olympics with my dad. We watched the swimmers and they were fast. When I saw how fast they were going, I knew someday I’ll go the Olympics and swim my heart out. And I’ll win the gold medal.
