Geometric sequence terms can get pretty large & it’s time consuming to figure out the “nth” term so there is a formula to do this… A(n) = a · r n-1 Where: n = the number of the term you’re looking for a = the FIRST term. r = the multiplier value. DO this one: 3, 6, 12, 24,….. Find the 10 th term. n = 10;a = 3;r = 2 So…A(10) = 3·2 9 = 3 · 512 = 1,536
