Prepare the Way For the Lord
Presentation transcript:

5 Trust in the L ORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; 6 think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

1 In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Wilderness of Judea 2 and saying, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near!” 3 For He is the one spoken of through the prophet Isaiah, who said: A voice of one crying out in the wilderness: Prepare the way for the Lord; make His paths straight!

4 John himself had a camel-hair garment with a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then people from Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the vicinity of the Jordan were flocking to him, 6 and they were baptized by him in the Jordan River as they confessed their sins. (Matthew 3:1-6)

17 For Herod himself had given orders to arrest John and to chain him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, whom he had married. 18 John had been telling Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife!” (Mark 7:17-18)

12 When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, He withdrew into Galilee. 13 He left Nazareth behind and went to live in Capernaum by the sea. (Matthew 4:12-13)

Submitting to God does not take the junk out of your life, but it does give you the strength to make it through.

Submitting to God does not take the junk out of your life, but it does give you the strength to make it through. We live in a broken world, But we do not serve a broken God.

The WHY The WHO

Have you ever asked God, “Is there any other way?”

No matter what happens, God is still in control.
