4 THE REGIONAL DIRECTORS The regional directors work under the Minister of Education to administrate und control all the decentralized institutions of the Ministry of Education. They are also responsible for the cooperation between the regional and the central educational services.

7 They administrate, lead, control and coordinate the work of the departments of the Regional Directorate. They determine the constitution of various councils They are the basic presidents of the Higher Council of the Regional Directorate They participate in the processes of evaluating the heads of the departments and of the administrators, who stand under their responsibility. In particular:

8 They decide the implementation of training programs for teachers who are in need of improving their skills and qualifications. They are also disciplinary directors. They cooperate with the local political authorities in order to improve the educational system. Moreover:
