Russell A. Wynns 2014

 Cell : The basic unit of structure and function in all living things.  Organism: A living thing.  Tissue: A group of cells that work together to perform a certain function.  Organ: A group of tissues that work together to perform a certain function.  Organ system: A group of organs that work together to perform a certain function.

Single celled organism : bacteria is a single celled organism. A single celled organism-is an organism that is made up of only one cell.  Multi- celled organism : an organism made up of more than one cell. You are a multi-celled organism.

Nucleus: Chromosome : inside nucleus; contains information about cell. Cell membrane: holds a cell together and separates it from its surrounding. Cell wall : supports and protects a plant cell. Cytoplasm: a jelly like substance containing chemicals help the cell stay healthy. Chloroplast :makes food for the cell. Vacuole: stores food, water,or wastes. Vesicle : transports materials.  Mitochondrion : releases energy from food.

Nucleus : Directs a cell’s activities. Cell membrane : holds a cell together and separates it from its surroundings. Vacuole : stores food, water,or wastes. Cytoplasm : a jelly like substance containing chemicals that help the cell stay healthy. Mitochondrion : releases energy from food. Chromosome: inside nucleus; contains information cell.

 A Plant Cell has a cell wall and it has Chloroplast  They both have vacuoles and a nucleus

 Harmful microorganisms can cause strep throat.  A beneficial microorganism can help make strong fertilizer for crops.  Lactic Acid Bacteria is a beneficial microorganism, it helps the fertilizer to stay strong and is beneficial for the crops using the fertilizer.

 Microscope: tool that makes small objects appear larger.  Robert Hooke’s

 Bing.com- images.  HSP Georgia Science book.  Science study guide.

 Cells  One picture per topic  One transition per slide
