To be eligible… YOU MUST HAVE:  On Campus University Account with the Controller’s Office  Updated Roster in Student Affairs Office We will verify a roster was on file for last year – since Roster Collection will be after BA this year  Updated Constitution and Bylaws in SA Office  IF WE DO NOT HAVE THESE WE CAN NOT LOOK AT YOUR APPLICATION  IF WE DO NOT HAVE THESE WE CAN NOT LOOK AT YOUR APPLICATION

Advantages of New Process  Less time required for Organizations to attend meetings (Internal and Before GA).  Less “cushion” available to General Assembly which in the past has not been appropriated = MORE Money in initial suggested amount  Altogether: Less time, More Money, More Efficient

New Process - Step 1 Submit a Form  Submit BA Form located on Student Senate Website  Print and mail to: Student Senate Attn: Shaili Patel Unit 1050

Step 2- Internal Meeting  Initial Meetings will be held by the Finance Committee, but organizations will NOT be required to attend them.  After the meetings, Organizations will be notified via MAIL concerning their suggested appropriation amount.

Step 3- Accept The Amount  The mailed form will allow your organization to accept the amount suggested by the Finance Committee for those organizations who regularly choose not to appeal.  If you accept, there is NO NEED TO GO BEFORE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. The body will vote en bloc for all organizations who wish to accept their amount on October 22 or October 29.  The paper work will be completed the next day to help expedite the process and get the funds to Organizations as quickly as possible.

Step 3 Contest the Amount  Complete the necessary form indicating the request to appear before General Assembly.  AND notify Shaili Patel if the suggested amount is not agreeable with your organization to set up a review meeting. s-patel.7@onu.edu s-patel.7@onu.edus-patel.7@onu.edu  Pick date to appear before Senate General Assembly  General Assembly will hear your reasoning, the Finance Committee recommendation and vote on suggested amount same as in years previous.

We encourage you to…  Take the money…  Take the money…  We are streamlining the process to:  Save time for Organizations  Allow more money to be initially suggested
