It is to look at current events and compare them to events spoken of in the Bible.. I hope to build up a picture of God’s hand working in the affairs of this world. God is bringing about a day when all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. At that time God will send His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, back to this earth. Jesus will then establish God’s kingdom on earth. This kingdom will last for ever. This is our hope and the reason we watch. BIBLE QUOTE This is normally one verse which backs up why the event that has occurred is interesting from a Biblical perspective. Please read in its context. Unless stated otherwise, all quotes are from the King James Version. (Book, chapter, and verse) This is straight from a news report that caught my eye because it looked significant from a Biblical perspective, usually that of prophecy. 5. he Cameron hails EU deal to give Britain 'special status', battle looms David Cameron hailed a landmark deal on Friday he said gave Britain "special status" in the European Union and pledged to campaign heart and soul to stay in the EU at a deeply uncertain referendum expected in June. At a summit that ran into overtime, EU leaders agreed unanimously on a package of measures aimed at keeping Britain in the 28-nation bloc to avoid a potentially disastrous divorce. Their legally binding decision granted Britain an explicit exemption from the founding goal of "ever closer union",offered concessions on the welfare rights of migrant workers and safeguards for the City of London financial centre. The British prime minister said he had achieved all his main negotiating aims and would recommend the agreement to his cabinet on Saturday, firing the starting gun on a fierce referendum campaign on Britain's future membership of the bloc. Reuters, February 20, 2016 EVENT COMMENT For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:….And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all desirable vessels. BIBLE QUOTE (Isaiah 2:12-16) Britain is definitely mentioned in the Bible. We know from Ezekiel 38 that Britain has a role to play at the time Russia invades Israel. So where is Britain mentioned in the Bible? Well Britain is Tarshish. Tarshish is first mentioned in Genesis 10:4 as one of the sons of Japheth. We read that it was from these sons that the “isles of the gentiles were divided.” Tarshish therefore is an “isle of the gentiles”. Tarshish therefore is a gentile island and a number of times the “ships of Tarshish” are mentioned. It is maritime nation. We read that ancient Tyre traded with Tarshish for silver, iron, lead and TIN. (Ezekiel 27:12). The ONLY nation that traded with the Phoenicians for these metals was Britain – Britain is famous for TIN. Tarshish is singled out in Isaiah 2 which speaks of the day of the LORD coming on the ships of Tarshish. It is in the context of proud and lofty people who are bought low…

6. Cameron's final gamble could all go “horrifically wrong" David Cameron's political career has been marked by a series of last-minute victories, often after his chances were written off. As he prepares for his final national electoral contest, a referendum on whether Britain should leave the European Union, the question is whether this is a gamble too far. Having struck a deal in Brussels with fellow EU leaders that allows the U.K. to cut some welfare payments to migrants from inside the bloc, the prime minister will return to London and put the result to his cabinet Saturday morning. He's betting only a few ministers will announce they're going to take the opposite side from him in the coming referendum battle and campaign for the U.K. to leave. That's the first in a series of ways Cameron's high-stakes strategy could go wrong over the next four months. Bloomberg, February 19, 2016 EVENT COMMENT And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. Britain will NOT be part of this Holy Roman Empire beast system BIBLE QUOTE (Revelation 17:12-13) So the question is will Britain leave the European Union? Will Britain vote NO to continued EU membership? Well whatever the outcome Britain’s future will be different moving forward. Cameron has negotiated an explicit exemption from Europe’s founding goal of "ever closer union”. So as Europe continues to give up powers Britain will be able to stop further integration. So how do we know Britain’s role in Europe is going to change? We know this because Europe itself is going to change. We are told in Revelation 17 that a resurrected Holy Roman Empire will appear in Europe. It is the beast the rises out of the bottomless pit. Britain was NEVER part of the HRE. Therefore it wont be part of the future HRE. It is possible Britain votes to leave Europe which in turn causes Europe to rethink the whole structure of Europe. What ever happens a new Holy Roman Empire is coming….

7. Saudi Arabia and allies gather for military exercises Saudi Arabia says troops from 20 countries are gathering in the oil-rich nation for large- scale military exercises. The kingdom announced the exercises Sunday on the official Saudi Press Agency, describing them as "the largest and most important" military manoeuvres in the region's history. It says the exercises in the country's north will include air, sea and land forces. They are expected to last 18 days, with participating forces arriving in "the next few hours." Most of the participants are Arab and African countries, and do not include the United States and other Westen powers. Saudi Arabia leads a coalition fighting Shiite rebels in Yemen. It is also part of the U.S.-led coalition against Islamic State, and recently said it is willing to send ground troops to Syria.. Associated Press, February 14, 2016 EVENT COMMENT Sheba, and Dedan [Saudi Arabia], and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? Saudi Arabia is planning some huge war games - the largest in the regions history. It is doing so because of events in Syria. Saudi is backing the rebels who are trying to overthrow Assad. However Iran (Saudi’s main enemy) is backing Assad and with support of Russian airstrikes are making real inroads against the rebels. America has recently done the deal with Iran over its nuclear program which has alarmed Saudi even more. So instead of relying on the US to protect Saudi it is now preparing to defend its own interests. Hence the war games. But if Saudi Arabia gets involved in Syria this could provoke Russia and an even greater war. One headline this week had this headline…”Limited nuclear war within 18 days as Saudis (and friends) mass 350,000 troops, 20,000 tanks, 2450 planes, 460 helicopters for Syrian invasion”. Saudi Arabia is part of the king of the south mentioned in Ezekiel 38:13 and also Daniel 11:40. Saudi Arabia has a role to play – and it is getting close to playing it! BIBLE QUOTE (Ezekiel 38:13)

8. Amid concerns the raging war in Syria may widen, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told Foreign Ministry director-general Dore Gold on Thursday that Russia is keen on seeing the Israeli-Palestinian peace process resume. Gold, heading a high- level Foreign Ministry delegation for two days of talks in Moscow, responded that “regional security is a prerequisite for peacemaking.” Gold and Lavrov know each other from when they worked together while serving as their respective countries’ ambassadors to the UN in the late 1990s. Welcoming Gold in Moscow, Lavrov said that as a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a member of the Middle East Quartet, Russia is interested in creating conditions “for the resumption of the peace process between Israel and Palestine in order to achieve our common goal – two states that exist in peace and security with all its neighbours.” Jerusalem Post, February 18, 2016 EVENT COMMENT A long time from now you will be called into action. In the distant future you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel. You and all your allies—a vast and awesome army—will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud. BIBLE QUOTE Russia has suddenly become the major influence and power in the Middle East. Putin is now in the driving seat in Syria and dictating events. Russia now wants to involve itself in the Israel / Palestinian peace process. This week Israel sent a high level delegation to Russia to talk about Russia’s future involvement in the peace process. Russia (like most other nations) wants Israel to give up half the land and give it to the Palestinians so they can have their own state. As the report says Russia wants two states existing in peace and security. What actually will happen though is quite different. The Russian intervention in Syria will lead to the total collapse of Syria as a kingdom. Israel will be drawn into that conflict and be left severely weakened but then left in relative peace. The pricking briers around Israel will have been removed. Russia will then action its plan to invade Israel for a spoil… Russia urges Israel to resume peace process (Ezekiel 38:8-9 NLT)

9. he Iran to Russia: Take $14bn and build us modern army Iran’s Defence Minister Gen. Hossein Dehghan arrived in Moscow this week at the head of a large military delegation and laid before President Vladimir Putin and his Defence Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu a $14 billion check. Now, make our Revolutionary Guards Corps and regular forces into an up-to-the-minute war machine, he said. The plan to make over and upgrade Iran’s military was first approved by Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. It is to be paid for with funds released by newly lifted sanctions against the Islamic Republic. The ayatollah aspires to rebuild the two branches – the IRGC with 150,000 troops and the regular army of 420,000 – as the most powerful armed force in the Middle East. The entire project as presented to Russian leaders is estimated to unfold over 10 years, during which relations between Tehran and Moscow should grow progressively stronger. After many days thou shalt be visited: Visited = sought after BIBLE QUOTE Everyone is visiting Russia! Israel was there this week talking about the peace process with the Palestinians. Meanwhile on Thursday Iran arrived in Russia. Iran of course is Israel’s sworn enemy. Almost every day in Iran there are calls for Israel to the wiped off the map. So why is Iran in Russia? Well as we know Iranian sanctions have ended so this now give Iran huge amounts of cash with which to spend on foreign goods. So are they looking to build much needed hospitals, schools etc in Iran? Of course not. Iran wants to spend $14bn on developing an even more sophisticated army – and the meeting this week was to ask Russia how they could work together to do this. Iran has money to spend and Russia has the military equipment to sell. We read in Ezekiel 38 of Russia being visited and asked for help. Here is a visit to Russia - they will help. One day Iran will invade Israel with Russia…. (Ezekiel 38:7-9 NLT)

Israeli minister embarrassed after revealing security co-operation with Egypt An Israeli minister has broken one of the Middle East's key unwritten rules by publicly praising his country's close security co-operation with Egypt, most of whose citizens fiercely resent its ties to the "Zionist state". Yuval Steinitz, the energy minister, revealed on Saturday that Egypt's decision to flood the underground supply tunnels run by Hamas from the Egyptian Sinai into Gaza had been to a "certain extent at Israel's request". Security co-operation with Egypt was "better than ever", he added. His words were met with an immediate outcry from commentators and former ambassadors. “He said something that shouldn’t be said in so many words,” Eli Shaked, Israel’s former ambassador to Egypt, told The Daily Telegraph. Daily Telegraph, February 7, 2016 EVENT COMMENT He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: BIBLE QUOTE (Daniel 11:42-43) On the face of it, it doesn’t make sense for Israel to be working closely behind the scenes with Egypt. After all most Egyptians hate Israel. Israel has had a number of major wars with Egypt since Israel came into existence in 1948. But the Bible actually puts Egypt and Israel on the same side – or at least they end up both being invaded by Russia. In Ezekiel 38 we read of Libya and Ethiopia joining forces with Russia and Iran to attack Israel. But Egypt that sits between these two nations is not mentioned. Egypt is mentioned though in the parallel chapter in Daniel 11. We read that Russia comes down like a whirlwind into the “glorious land” (Israel) but then it says that the land of Egypt shall NOT escape. Russia takes hold of the wealth of Egypt. This implies Israel and Egypt are on the same side when Russia invades.
