4 Mission To promote and maintain the fiscal health of local child support agencies (LCSAs) by identifying fiscal best practices, identifying strategies and opportunities to maximize the Administrative and EDP M&O allocation, and identifying opportunities for program efficiencies.

5 CSDA Finance Committee Membership Membership is open to LCSA directors and lead fiscal staff responsible for budget and administrative fiscal duties, with approval from the LCSA director. The committee works closely with the DCSS Administrative Deputy Director and the Chief Financial Officer.

6 CSDA Finance Committee Sub-Group Sponsored by the Finance Committee: Fiscal Officers Training Forum Provides quarterly training that is specifically tailored for child support fiscal officers typically responsible for Administrative and EDP budget support. 19 Mission To coordinate the county level review, discussion and comment on proposed or existing policy and/or regulation change.

20 CSDA Policy & Regulations Committee Goals To establish and maintain a forum that promotes regular dialogue between DCSS and the local agencies to ensure issues and concerns are fully considered as part of the development and maintenance of DCSS policies and regulations.

21 Policy & Regulations Committee Goals, continued… To promote the principle that policy and/or regulation should support the local agencies ability to carry out the mission of the child support program, continuously working to enhance customer service and performance management, while complying with state and federal laws and regulations.

24 CSDA Policy & Regulations Committee Membership ■Membership is open to local agency directors and/or their representative. ■Members have legal and/or program expertise in the child support enforcement program. Membership is composed of members with varying expertise which supports the committee approach to viewing issues and concerns from a holistic perspective. ■The committee works in collaboration with DCSS Policy Branch.

25 CSDA Policy & Regulations Committee Sub-Work Groups Sub-work groups are formed as needed. The sub- work groups provide support to the Policy and Regulation Committee in the development or review of policy, researching issues and providing recommendations to the primary committee.

33 Mission To promote uniformity of legal practices throughout the IV-D community of local child support agencies, State Department of Child Support Services and IV-D courts, to make available a forum for discussion and resolution of legal issues in the IV-D community, and to provide input for continued development and maintenance of the Statewide automation system, resulting in uniform legal practices Statewide, improved relationships with the Courts and case participants to the benefit of the child support program.

34 CSDA Legal Practices Committee Objectives ■Identify and encourage the adoption of uniform legal best practices. ■Facilitate statewide communication to LCSAs and the courts regarding legal best practices. ■Identify and comment on automation issues that will impact legal practices in the child support program.

36 CSDA Legal Practices Committee Membership Limited to no more than twenty (20), representing the program by caseload size, demographics and geography. Standing members also include representatives from the State Department of Child Support Services and the Administrative Office of the Courts, and the CSDA Executive Director. The Committee Chair is required by the Charter to be an LCSA Director.

The Committee evaluates the training and educational needs of those it serves. The Committee also provides Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE).
