2 Page 2 GHOST RIDER - UK Opening in 4 weeks  Ghost Rider continues to show most strength among male audiences in the UK, with strength on definite interest & 1 st choice among men & above norm awareness overall. The encouraging picture remains similar to all comp titles.  Total awareness is above norm across three quadrants – remaining at approximately 1 in 4 people aware overall, much as last week. The exception is women under 25, where it is at norm  Unaided awareness is at the minimal norm level for this stage, driven by men under 25.  Total awareness is good against all comparative titles at this stage, matching or leading all titles except HELLBOY - and also continuing to lead all fellow openers this week.  There is again nothing to choose against the comp titles on unaided, with all minimal.  Definite interest among aware remains male skewed, with men of all ages comfortably above norm, especially under 25s.  It remains lowest among women under 25, albeit it that it may be unstable in that quad given the low awareness.  Definite interest among aware is much in line with the comp titles overall.  1 st choice is slightly ahead of norm level overall, driven heavily by men, now at 3x the small norm.  Among men, 1 st choice is similar to CONSTAINTINE & marginally above all other comp titles.  Among women, there is little to choose other than CONSTANTINE having slightly more strength among under 25s  It continues to lead both fellow openers on choice among men, with no title registering any significant strength among women. 3 Page 3 GHOST RIDER - FRANCE Opening in 3 weeks  Ghost Rider consolidates its solid position this week, with its most notable strength among male audiences. The overall picture is similar to V For Vendetta. 1 st choice remains relatively flat across the week’s releases.  Total awareness grows slightly this week, maintaining norm levels overall. There is a distinct male under 25 skew, leading the way at 1½ x norm. Only women 25+ fall short of the norm mark.  Unaided awareness remains minimal, if much in line with norm, and again with a male under 25 skew.  Total awareness is much the same as V for Vendetta at the same stage, with some advantage among those men under 25.  Of fellow openers this week still only BARNYARD reaches norm awareness.  Definite interest among aware is now above norm overall, most notably across all male audiences.  It falls short of norm among women under 25. Among older females, the low aware base makes interest among aware unstable.  Definite interest is very slightly ahead of V For VENDETTA.  1 st choice remains at norm overall, with women under 25 failing to register but little to choose across other quadrants.  1 st choice is similar to V For Vendetta.  Across all the week’s releases, no title is showing any substantial strength or advantage on 1 st choice. Ghost Rider & Letters From Iwo Jima look to lead the way among men, but the difference is marginal.  V FOR VENDETTA is the only one of the comp titles available in France, since tracking only started in late 2005. 4 Page 4 GHOST RIDER - GERMANY Opening in 3 weeks  Awareness for Ghost Rider builds among male audiences this week, to stand distinctly above norm level overall, with good definite interest among men in particular, and solid 1 st choice – most notably among over 25s at this stage. The picture remains relatively similar to all comp titles.  Total awareness grows among men this week, especially those under 25, while awareness among women is broadly unchanged.  Among men under 25, awareness now peaks at double norm, and only among women under 25, does it fall back to norm levels  It remains ahead of all comp titles at a similar stage.  Unaided awareness is still minimal as with all comps.  All 3 fellow openers this week continue to register single figure total awareness overall.  Definite interest among aware stands just above norm, lead by male audiences, especially those 25+, at distinctly above norm level.  Definite interest looks broadly similar to the comp titles, with only CONSTANTINE looking to have a slight advantage – and from a much lower aware base.  1 st choice is just above norm, lead by men over 25, although variations by quadrant are small.  Choice remains very similar to all comps – most notably identical to National Treasure.  Ghost Rider marginally leads the week’s openers among over 25s, with no title showing any significant advantage among younger audiences. 5 Page 5 GHOST RIDER - AUSTRALIA Opening in 2 weeks  Ghost Rider has further improved its encouraging position with 2 weeks to release, especially among male audiences. It continues to compare well with all comp titles and also maintains dominance against the week’s competitive releases among men.  Total awareness grows well this week across all audiences, now comfortably ahead of norm levels. Unaided awareness is broadly at norm.  Total awareness is now ahead of all comp titles, with HELLBOY closest. There is little to choose on unaided, although HELLBOY has some advantage over all others, including Ghost Rider, among men.  Total awareness is significantly wider than for either competitive opener, especially among men – awareness for MUSIC & LYRICS is building well among women under 25.  Definite interest among aware stands distinctly above norm overall, growing alongside the building awareness.  It peaks among men under 25, now at some 1½x norm level.  Definite interest among aware compares well with the comps, with only RIDDICK scoring higher, but off a lower aware base.  1 st choice is driven heavily by male audiences at 3x norm across all ages, while choice among women is at norm level.  1 st choice compares well with comps, now leading all titles overall & in all quadrants.  Ghost Rider continues to hold a clear lead against the week’s competitive releases among men. 6 Page 6 GHOST RIDER - JAPAN Opening in 4 weeks  Low awareness remains the key story 4 weeks out from release, although this is still much the same as for all the comparative titles. The week’s market among new releases looks very open, despite the wider awareness for the two local titles at this stage.  Some signs of growth in total awareness among men under 25, although it remains well short of norms levels across all audiences – most notably women under 25.  Unaided awareness is minimal.  The picture is still similar to all comp titles at this stage.  Among the week’s openers, the two Japanese movies are currently dominant on awareness, with GEKIJOUBAN… leading the way & the only title exceeding norm.  Definite interest among aware remains below norm overall. Awareness is too low to look at definite interest by quadrant.  Given the low aware bases for all, comparisons with other comp titles must be treated with caution, although CONSTANTINE & NATIONAL TREASURE look to hold a tentative advantage over the others.  1 st choice remains predictably low given the awareness, but in line with the norm & with little to chose against all comps.  No title opening this week currently registers any notable strength or advantage on choice.
