2 Motivate partners Raise awareness about Visual Learning project at NALA events. Have Visual Learning seminar in Dublin in October or November 2007. Advertise event through NALA newsletter, article in NALA Journal, NALA website and NALA training calendar. Organise for 3 workshops on Visual Learning techniques in Ireland between Oct ‘07 and June ‘08.

3 Objectives to increase awareness of visual learning in the adult basic education sector in Ireland. to explore the benefits of using visual learning within the adult basic education sector. to train trainers in the use of visual learning techniques to be passed onto adult basic education teachers.

4 Composition of local networks VEC adult literacy centres (100 + throughout Ireland) Senior Traveller Training Centres (33 centres) Youthreach Centres (94 centres) Prison Education Settings (15 centres)

5 Experiences with Cooperation Bray Adult Literacy Scheme (Jane Smith and Barbara Hammond) Dublin Adult Learning Centre (adult literacy tutor - Fionnaigh Connaughton and 7 students)

6 Open Questions Who will get involved? Will there be much interest? Will we have the money to create materials for the project? Will there be funding to roll out the workshops nationwide?
