1 Self-Evaluation St Dominic’s Grammar School for Girls

2  One of the School Improvement Groups as part of our Self-Evaluation Programme.  To collate genuine feedback on Learning and Teaching and Assessment so that we can improve learning, help students and staff by engaging in serious dialogue about learning-resistors and drivers.  As a school, we wish to evaluate how well we are doing, to identify what we are good at and focus on what we need to improve.

3 To receive genuine feedback from pupils To improve learning To engage students and staff in serious dialogue about learning Strengths and areas for development will be identified Students will provide feedback via questionnaires, focus group discussions and by addressing staff

4  Student Voice – Years 8-12  Student Voice made up of 1 student from each Tutor group in Years 8-12.  Elections held in September.  The Student Voice is managed by the Year Heads and Heads of School.  Students across all year groups will provide feedback via focus group discussions, questionnaires and addressing whole staff.

5  September 2011– Election.  October and November 2011– Classroom Climate (Does it reflect our vision) - Discussions  December 2011– Assessment and Feedback (Discussions).  January 2012– ICT provision for L&T(Discussions)  February 2012– Design the questionnaires – Student involvement.  March 2012 – Progress report from HOS to staff.  April – May 2012 - Years 8-12 complete questionnaires. Presentation of findings to staff.
