3. The End of the War The Battle of Yorktown did not end the American Revolution. The Treaty of Paris officially ended the American Revolution. A treaty is a written agreement between countries. Why was the meeting held in Paris?

4. Work Begins on the Treaty Work on the Treaty of Paris began in April 1782. Richard Oswald represented the British at the meeting. Benjamin Franklin represented the United States. Each man presented the terms of their country for the agreement.
