Be specific where is the feature LOW (map evidence) O Be specific where is the feature ODD (map evidence) H Be specific where is the feature HIGH (map evidence)

11 Map can evidence can include?

12 Human features can include?
Physical features can include?

13 How many marks would this get. Indicate if it is H, O, L or T
How many marks would this get? Indicate if it is H, O, L or T? Highlight the map evidence and indicate what type it is? Woodland is found in most areas of the map except the north-west. The land here is flat. The majority of woodland is found on steep slopes along the River Wye. There is only one section of woodland on flat ground at There is a small amount of woodland on Miracle Hill.

14 Learning Outcome 3 Plenary
Now use OS Map 258 of our local area and describe the distribution of A Roads (primary routes). Peer assess. Marks: 1 each for – a sentence including references to High, Odd, Low, Trend, compass direction, grid reference, road name, place name, contour lines/height, a connection to a physical features (water/woodland).

15 Home work Ensure that your table does each piece of homework.
Tell someone at home about HOLT and the A road distribution in our area. See if they can give you any reasons for the distribution (imagine the exam question said explain the reasons for the distribution of roads in our area).
