3 Main Aims Trace detection of high energetic materials (i.e. explosive compounds and their precursors) with high resolution laser techniques Development of two prototypes to be in future installed in check-in Exploitation of possible integration LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) for particles and liquids substances. Atomic technique IR (Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy and/o laser Photo-Acoustic Spectrometer) for vapour absorption technique

6 Materials employed NO real explosive samples or mixed compounds such as forensic exhibit Standard solutions of explosive compounds from different suppliers (Sigma, Accustandard, CPS, Sigma, Carlo Erba) for calibration purpose FTIR IFS 113v (Bruker) and IFS66 (Bruker) interferometers in the spectral range 10,000 ÷ 400 cm -1 at a resolution of 2 cm -1 or better.
