2. Name of the music magazine: Banshee Colour Scheme: Purple, black and blue I chose Banshee as the name of my magazine because a banshee is a mythical being that kills people by it’s screams. This suits the type of music (scream) my magazine will be presenting. It also makes the magazine unique as the concept of a mythical creature as the name uncommon. I chose this colour scheme because the purple and blue go well together with a slight clash of the black. This creates a good effect. Genre: screamo/pop rock I chose this specific sub-genre of music because it is a niche market however there isn't many magazines that are dedicated to the specific sub-genres rather than the ‘alternative’ genre. This could give me a wider range of audience. Publication and Price The magazine will be published once a year. This is influenced by the results of the questionnaire. Most people decided they would rather have a yearly magazine. Therefore I will pack my magazine full of the years gossip and news. I will also make a page for the next years tours and exciting gigs that have been released already. The magazine will cost £3.00 which is at the very top of the price range people said they are willing to pay. This will make the magazine both quite detailed and affordable for the age group. Banshee is an informal magazine that aims to bring all the gossip on the latest bands. The magazine is aimed at the specific sub-genres, screamo/psot-hardcore and pop rock. Both of the sub genres relate to each other making a good combination. We aim at 16 -19 year olds. We keep them up to date on all the news of their favourite bands including gigs and reviews. 3. Reader Profile Jess, 17 loves music and is working towards being a stage hand for music gigs. In his free time he loves to watch TV shows like The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy and 90’s shows like Charmed. She loves playing her guitar and drums. She currently has a goal to beat her high score on Call Of Duty: Zombies. She like to read magazines, Manga and The Hunger Games books. She's saving up to go follow her favourite scream band, Of Mice And Men, on tour. Her favourite bands are Of Mice And Men, Blink 182, Bring Me The Horizon, Evanescence, Escape The Fate, Black Veil Brides and A Day to Remember. She loves to eat KFC and Subway, along with the yearly salad. Jess enjoys shopping for the latest posters and band merchandise.
