An Open Door Revelation 4

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelation three ends with Jesus saying get up and answer the door!

On December 8, 2005 God spoke these words to me while in prayer: "Who will dine with Me at My table?" Gal 1:11-12 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

My Children, What can you do or accomplish for My glory when I already have all the glory? Certainly not more exploits that end in splendor and earthly greatness. The one thing I desire above all else for My servants, ministers, and shepherds is communion at My table! Yes, oneness around the heavenly table! A place and time of Spiritual intimacy! A continual coming to Me for food, for strength, for wisdom, for fellowship.

Many of My servants mistakenly get their spiritual joy out of service and not out of communing with Me. Many are doing more and more for a Lord they know less and less about! Yes, many will run themselves ragged; will burn out, will go anywhere on earth, and give their bodies to My work, but will seldom keep the feast! My children, you must be serious about taking your place with Me at My table! In My presence is fullness of Joy!

This generation has a limited revelation of Me because so many of My chosen ones are missing from My table! Yes, their seats are empty! With all the preaching, the praising, the endless talk about Me, few find time to dine with Me, to have a true appreciation for My table! Few know the grandeur and majesty of such a high calling. In My presence, My elect become those who care nothing for the spectacular; the earthly, the things of this world, success, ambition or worldly fame. They will pray, not for things, not for blessings, not to be used, not for anything of self, but only for a fuller revelation of the glory and vastness of their Lord.

Therefore, My Children, I am looking for those who are not satisfied to sift through all the conflicting voices to find a true word. I seek those who will seek a revelation of Me that is all their own -- a very deep personal intimacy. Who will dine with Me at My table?

Now Revelations Chapter 4 starts out looking at a door opening in Heaven: Let's Read from the Message Paraphrase Bible Chapter 4: A Door into Heaven

4 Then I looked, and, oh!—a door open into Heaven. The trumpet-voice, the first voice in my vision, called out, "Ascend and enter. I’ll show you what happens next."

I was caught up at once in deep worship and, oh!—a Throne set in Heaven with One Seated on the Throne, suffused in gem hues of amber and flame with a nimbus of emerald. Twenty-four thrones circled the Throne, with Twenty-four Elders seated, white-robed, gold- crowned. Lightning flash and thunder crash pulsed from the Throne. Seven fire-blazing torches fronted the Throne (these are the Sevenfold Spirit of God). Before the Throne it was like a clear crystal sea.

Prowling around the Throne were Four Animals, all eyes. Eyes to look ahead, eyes to look behind. The first Animal like a lion, the second like an ox, the third with a human face, the fourth like an eagle in flight. The Four Animals were winged, each with six wings. They were all eyes, seeing around and within. And they chanted night and day, never taking a break: Holy, holy, holy Is God our Master, Sovereign- Strong, The Was, The Is, The Coming.

Every time the Animals gave glory and honor and thanks to the One Seated on the Throne—the age-after-age Living One—the Twenty-four Elders would fall prostrate before the One Seated on the Throne. They worshiped the age-after-age Living One. They threw their crowns at the foot of the Throne, chanting, Worthy, O Master! Yes, our God! Take the glory! the honor! the power! You created it all; It was created because you wanted it.

Three Doors Are Mentioned in Revelation: 1) An open door for evangelism and missions: Which refers to the Church as a place for bearing witness to the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the opportunity that god opens for the church to carry the gospel to neighbors, communities, cities, states and the world.

Rev 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

2) A Door to the Human Heart: When believers carry the message of the gospel to their neighbors, it is then up to the individual person to open the door of his heart to receive the gospel. This decision is the neighbor's. Every person has a door that has to be opened before Christ will enter.

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

3) There is the door of revelation: Once a person opens their heart to Christ, Christ reveals glorious things of Himself, of God, of Heaven, and of this world. In addition, Christ reveals some of the events that are to take place as history unfolds itself- some of the events that surround the return of the Lord himself and the end times.

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

1Cr 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1Cr 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

John saw a DOOR open in heaven...Heard the voice of God Himself inviting John to come up and learn things that must soon happen...things men did not know. Things revealed by God to John of future events which were not Johns imagination, but was the Word of God Revealed.

From this we learn that God is willing to reveal those things we do not know and can make relations with us a personal event. Yes an event where we hear the shepherds voice and learn at His feet. God longs for our relationship to be personal. He waits for an open heart...a willing heart. Do you have this kind of relationship...taught by God Himself?
