4. Your Job as an English Journalist: Today you will assume the role of a 1700s English reporter whose assignment is to describe life in colonial America to English citizens back home. You will work in pairs and move around the room to explore 17 different “slices of colonial life”—pictures and descriptions of what colonial life is like—and take notes on them. At the end of class you will turn your notes into a journal entry that might have appeared in an English journal in the 1700s.
