2. Recap from last week 1. God Created the earth -> Man was given Dominion 2. Mankind Fell -> Satan gained Dominion of the earth 3. Jesus Came -> Two Kingdoms now reigned on earth 4. Jesus Will Return -> Only the Kingdom of God will reign upon the earth. The Kingdom of God is both present and future. It is both now & more later. The kingdom of God is within each of us as believers of Christ. Jesus reigns in our heart, not in all the nations of the earth, well not yet anyway, but one day.

3. Parables of the Kingdom It was very hard for Jesus to describe what the Kingdom of God is really like in our realm. Jesus attempted to do so through parables. The parables are a series of analogies and metaphors which each make a point in an attempt to portray a glimpse or a shadow of a realm we have no ability to perceive. This is due to both our fallen state and having never experienced it before.

13. Summary of the “Like” Parables The Kingdom of God... Is receiving and obeying the word of God. Will take time to grow before it produces fruit Has a hidden nature which influences. Is worth everything and those that do have great joy. Is very precious and the highest price is worthwhile. Involves the ingathering mankind for God the righteous judge to determine eternity for the righteous and the wicked. Is truth, both old and new being brought forth like treasure.
