2 Analysis Short Needs Analysis Task not being performed: Full day Kindergarten for all students The required performance(s) 1. All students will receive full day kindergarten and receive equal time for curriculum, socialization, special classes, routine experiences 2. All students will follow the same curriculum 3. Students will be on level for reading and math when entering 1st grade 4. Students will be proficient on DIBELS 5. Students will be in a safe environment for longer periods of their day 6. Students are separated into classes that are 1/2 day sessions ad classes that are full day sessions based on a screening score 2. Students in 1/2 day sessions miss curricular time, assembly time, special class time, and lunch screening score 2. Students in 1/2 day sessions miss curricular time, assembly time, special class time, and lunch (on snow delay days and early dismissal time is shortened even more) 3. Students are learning different curriculum due to time constraints (no reading program in 1/2 day) 4. Students that attend full day kindergarten show higher growth than 1/2 day (on snow delay days and early dismissal time is shortened even more) 3. Students that attend full day kindergarten show higher growth than 1/2 day A summary of the causes of the performance deficiency The district does not have adequate funding to provide full day kindergarten. How the causes were determined 1. Surveys were given to K-3 principals, reading specialists, K-3 teachers. 2. Principal was interviewed.
