Who am I?? I have a gap in my teeth, I have had five husbands all at the church door, I wear a crazy red dress to church. The Wife of Bath

Who Am I?? I told a tale of greed. I sell fake trinkets and relics. I am a corrupt member of the church. The Pardoner

Who Am I?? I ride abroad and follow chivalry. I am truth, honor, generousness, and courtesy. The Knight

Who Am I?? I keep pocketknives and trinkets in my pockets to give to all the pretty ladies. I know all the girls and barmaids in every town. I am a corrupt church member The Friar

Who Am I?? I am the only positive church member in the eyes of Chaucer. I practice what I preach. The Parson

Literary Terms– Which one am I? I help Chaucer to introduce his pilgrims as he expresses his opinions on them. I sometimes act as if I am a book pulling you into the story. Frame Story

Which literary term am I?? I have different ways of revealing personalities of the various pilgrims. Chaucer is not shy in these descriptions of his pilgrims. Characterization

Lit. Terms continued… On page 127 of “The Prologue” line 842 reveals this term, “Early next morning at the spring of the day.” And then again on page 107; line 16 Chaucer states that, “Down to Canterbury they went.” Setting

Literary Terms for 100! “He was a proper forrester, I guess” (Probst 110; line 121). Irony

Literary Terms for 200! “But none the less, while I have time and space before my story takes a further pace, I seems a reasonable thing to say…”(Probst 107; line 35-37). Frame Story

Literary Terms are the best! One of Chaucer’s most disgusting pilgrims…The cook states on page 117; line 394 “Make good thick soup, and bake a tasty pie”…”that he should have an ulcer on his knee.” Imagery

Last literary term for now… I ridicule something negative in society. I look to cause change or reform on this negative issue in society. Who am I? Satire
