6 Guidelines: First sketch at least 3 different human postures using a live model, a mannequin or an image. Do not focus on details, just contour and expressive lines. Focus on expressive poses and movement with your figure sketches. Think of body language and what is being communicated. You may draw individuals or interacting groups of 2 or more figures. You may also want to create an environment or defined space for the figure(s). Get some wire and create your armature(s). This will be the support frame like a skeleton. Wrap the armature with more wire to “flesh- out” the figure(s). Cut a wooden base to support your figure(s) and then attach the figure(s) to the base. Size: at least 6”x6”x12”
