3  Implementation of ASBI into Primary Care  Identification of where and who  Working on the how and when  The Task Force will provide technical assistance to integrate the ASBI  Our partnership with Kettering Health Network will provide training and coaching to the staff  These trainers are “MINT” Certified- the gold standard in Motivational Interviewing training

4  Five Rivers Health Centers began on May 23, 2011 as a medical home for the low-income patients of Dayton, Ohio by providing both primary and specialty care services to patients through the academic rotations for the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine (WSUBSOM) residency and fellowship programs.  Approved on April 10, 2012 to be a (FQHC) Look -Alike.  Three former hospital residency clinic departments - Family Health Center, Medical Surgical Health Center, and the Center for Women's Health  Combined Five Rivers Health Centers, currently serves over 15,000 patients with over 52,000 visits in the Greater Dayton community.  Approximately 60-70 new prenatal patients per month

6  Tracey Waller named 2012 Ohio FASD Initiative Professional Advocate of the Year Award at the Ohio Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders annual Not a Single Drop Day on September 7th in Columbus.  Spreads FASD awareness and our ASBI efforts through the local community and State of Ohio

7  Parents  Networking group  Parents, caregivers, professionals, and others working with FASD individuals  Meets monthly and facilitated by Task Force member  Triumph Through the Challenges of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders  This proven curriculum examines characteristics of FASD, strategies for addressing a child’s inappropriate behavior, coping skills for parents, and much more.  Offered quarterly  Free to interested families (payment required for workbook)

10  Continue to model ASBI in Montgomery County WIC offices as a standard of care  Provide support and technical assistance to Five Rivers Health Centers to integrate ASBI into their practice  Dayton Children’s Medical Center via contract with Public Health will continue to advance Strategic Plan  Expand representation on the Task Force to include additional pertinent agencies  Work with ODH State WIC office to bring ASBI to WIC programs in more counties  Discuss conversion from “Task Force” to “Coalition”
