2 How to become an Aerospace Engineer Aerospace engineers must have a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or another field of engineering or science related to aerospace systems.

3 What Aerospace Engineers do, work environment, and pay. Aerospace engineers design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. Aerospace engineers are employed in industries whose workers design or build aircraft, missiles, systems for national defense, or spacecraft. The average salary for aerospace engineers is $64,055 in May 2014. Aerospace engineers are employed primarily in analysis and design, manufacturing, industries that perform research and development, and the federal government. They test prototypes to make sure that they function according to design.

4 Work Environment and Schedule Aerospace engineers work in an office environment. They do most of there work on advanced computer software that helps them design aircraft systems and components.

5 Hours, and why I choose aerospace engineer 37-40 per week I choose the aerospace engineer because my grandfather was an aerospace engineer and it is an interesting career.
