3. 3  Enterprise GIS Architecture  VMware Technology (Virtualization software for desktops & servers; consolidate, reduce costs and improve the efficiency and availability of IT resources and applications.  Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI))  Hardware & Storage (HP BladeSystem, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS))  Server Software ( ESRI ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, Geoportal, Image Server, Oracle 11G R2)  Network (10 Gigabit Network Backbone, 1 Gigabit at the server)

5. 5 DWR Enterprise Metadata Editor  There are over 250 different spatial datasets in DWR but only 20% of DWR spatial data sets have any sort of metadata; which means 80% of the spatial data sets in DWR do not have metadata.  93% of those using an editor used the US EPA metadata editor (EME).

6. 6 Enterprise Master Search Catalog: ArcGIS Server Geoportal Extension  What‘s Geoportal? Geoportal is a web-based application for organize, share, and discover geospatial resources internally and externally to the public  What are the features and benefits of the Geoportal?  Search & view metadata, publish metadata, download data, manage metadata, harvest catalogs  XML compatible  Customization (add-on features, look & feel, etc.)  Integrate with enterprise datasets in (SDE/Oracle)

7. 7 When will DTS Release ArcGIS 10 ??  Testing phase  DTS will release ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 or later version in January, 2011.
