1. Prayer for Philippines (Typhoon Haiyan Disaster) Pray for all affected by the devastation of life and land. Pray for authorities to respond with wisdom in providing relief for those in need. Pray for constructive and effective rescue efforts. Pray for the mercy and love of God to shine there in the midst of the darkness and gloom.

2. Congregational Prayer Holy One, you are our comfort and strength in times of sudden disaster, crisis, or chaos. May your grace and peace prevail in the Philippines even in the midst of storm or earthquake, fire or flood. By your Spirit, lift up those who have fallen, sustain those who grieve, and fill us with the hope of your new creation.

3. God, our help and hope, when waters rise, you brought Israel safely through the sea. Sustain all who administer aid so that ruins may be repaired, and what has fallen may be raised up, and despair be replaced with hope. Through Jesus Christ, our Eternal Savior. Amen.
