3 Choices Web Brainstorm “My Choices” by creating a web on a separate piece of paper to keep in your writing section. We will revisit this web through the course of Unit 1 Part 1

4 Choices (p.11) In the poem, “Choices” by Nikki Giovanni, the narrator chooses to think optimistically in various situations that she cannot control. This allows the narrator to make the best of events experienced in life.

5 Choices (p.11) We will listen to a recording of the poem, “Choices” two times, and you will follow along. The first time we read the poem, draw a line to divide each stanza. The second time we read the poem, circle all the words that you think on a different connotation vs. denotation. Poem Recording
