Pig nosed turtles have a leathery layer instead of having hard thorny shells like other turtles, to look round and soft. Many turtles live underground burrows, so that they are protected from the weather above them.

Turtles do not have any teeth, but their jaws do have a very hard covering like a sharp beak. This beak helps them eat many different kinds of foods.

Desert turtles love the desert flowers when they bloom, because they are always happy to eat them.

Sometimes a hummingbird will change colors as they dart through the sky, to trick their enemies.

All hummingbirds do not have to push off with their feet like other birds do, so they can fly away more quickly.

On cold nights, hummingbirds must fall into a deep, because they push their head close to their body, and when they do this it creates warmth.

Tails on some hummingbirds are like a neon sign. Depending on how the light hits the tail it may flash different colors. They do this to attract a mate.
