Objectives, continued

Methodology: Buffers Included buffers around layers to add the functional capability to merge Also buffered those features that we wanted to avoid for safety reasons

Methodology: Merging Merged layers in order to have fewer layers to work with We merged all three conservation layers Merged major roads, tiger roads into a transportation layer

Methodology: Negative Group Layer Layers selected against because they contained unsafe, occupied, or physically unsuitable parcels Layers included: lakes, conservation areas, flood zones, historic structures, streams, and group homes

Methodology: Negative Group Layer Combined all the unsuitable features to make a negative group layer

Methodology: Negative Group Layer Color-coded for easy identification of unsuitable locations when combined with positive and negative group layers

Layers that we selected for because they contained features that we wanted the youth center near Layers included: RTS bus routes and stops, schools, sewer and water lines, and transportation Methodology: Positive Group Layer

Combination of all desirable features for location of youth center Methodology: Positive Group Layer

Color-coded for easy identification of desirable features when combined with other group layers

Methodology In addition to positively and negatively selected data, we considered neutral data
