4 Reading a Second (and Third) Text for Historical Comparison Read John Locke’s “Second Treatise on Government” (or Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s “Social Contract”). Where do the authors agree and where do they disagree about the rights of individuals to their government? Which author makes the strongest case for his position? Explain using evidence.
