ABOUT THE XBOX ONE  The Xbox one is a home video game console designed for gaming, entertainment and social activities (YouTube, skype etc.)  The Xbox One is made by Microsoft which is an American technology company.  The Xbox One was announced on May 21, 2013 and was released on November 22 2013, and it is the successor to the very popular Xbox 360 and the third console in the Xbox console family.  The Xbox One also competes with other 8 th gen consoles like the Wii U and the popular PS4.  The Xbox One is priced around $399.99 at BestBuy.

PROS Pros of the Xbox One: 1.TONS Of storage space. 2.Xbox One contains many exclusive titles like Ryse, Forza, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, and Titanfall. 3.Controller looks stunning with areas improved for a more comfortable feel and grip,, and can work with PC’s. 4.Lower price compared to other consoles. 5.Lots of Inputs (HDMI etc.) and USB. 6.Big upgrade with graphics from previous Xbox consoles. 7.Online and internet are sometimes reliable and higher quality. 8. Great performance on games, servers are good (sometimes), great frames per second and HD quality.

CONS The cons of the Xbox One: 1.Bigger/heavier compared to other 8 th gen consoles. 2.Kinect is useless and overpriced. 3.Original price was $500. 4.PS4 has better internet and software. 5.Dashboard is hard to figure out. 6.Controller needs batteries where as the PS4 controllers are chargeable.

6. PS4 COMPARISON PlayStation 4: Easy to use dashboard. Games are playable and clear. Exclusive titles aren’t as good as Xbox One’s. Specs are almost the same as Xbox One’s. $100 less than Xbox One on release day. One of the most powerful next gen console.

7. GROUPS TARGETED The Xbox One targets teenagers and adults because of the mature content and Families because of the family features and entertainment services and apps.

8. PERSONAL THOUGHTS My thoughts on the Xbox One are: Xbox is a great next generation console that provides you with everything you would expect with a next-gen console. But compared to the PS4 it’s not as good. Microsoft focused more on entertainment and apps rather than gaming and services with the Xbox One, making gaming not as fun. People who play on the PS4 have better gaming experiences and service. Final thought; the PS4 is a way better console for gaming but the Xbox One is better for entertainment but the Xbox One is a next gen console and you will be getting what you expect.
