2 Schneider Electric 2 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●After performing step mentioned in document “4c- Defining HMI.ppt”, right click on PLC and click on NEW PLC under the Topological Model. ●This window will appear:

3 Schneider Electric 3 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●Give proper name of PLC and description. The name of the project will be assigned automatically by the system and will be the name of the PLC. ●Click on drop-down window of the PLC family and select M340. ●Similarly, select appropriate rack

4 Schneider Electric 4 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●The screen will look like this: ●Note: option for selecting CPU is appeared in the window. ●Drop-down the CPU selection box and select an appropriate CPU with Ethernet communication. ●Click on APPLY button

5 Schneider Electric 5 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●The screen will look like this: ●Note: By clicking on APPLY button, PROPERTIES button is active. ●Click on PROPERTIES button ●This window will appear:

6 Schneider Electric 6 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●Click on drop-down window of NETWORK SEGMENT and select MYNEWORK ●In IP address field, write 127.0.0.1. and press OK button. ●Properties window will be closed. Then close the NEW PLC window by clicking OK button.

7 Schneider Electric 7 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●A new PLC, MYPLC will be available in topological model. ●Right click in “LOCALM340_Drop_0” and then click on OPEN RACK:

8 Schneider Electric 8 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●This window will appear: ●A drop-down window for selecting IO module will appear by clicking on slot 1; select Digital In.

9 Schneider Electric 9 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●This window will appear: ●Similarly, drop down window will appear to select input module. ●It will look like this: the comment will be generated automatically by UAG

10 Schneider Electric 10 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●Similarly, add digital output module at the slot 2. ●After inserting the digital module, the PLC hardware screen should look like this in the topological model:

13 Schneider Electric 13 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●Give proper name. ●Click on drop-down window of COMMUNICATION TYPE and click on DATA SERVER:

16 Schneider Electric 16 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●This window will appear: Click on YES button. ●UAG will assign addresses automatically and window will look like this:

17 Schneider Electric 17 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●At the end of this step, a PLC along with IO modules and communication channel should be available in the topological model.

18 Schneider Electric 18 - EU – UAG team, Feb 2010 Steps ●Additional step: ●Click on VIEW  TOPLOGICAL VIEWER ●This window will appear with Data serve connected to the PLC over Ethernet
