Information Fusion Command and Control (IFC2) The OTBSAF is generating the simulated ground truth as well as displaying it in the OTBSAF GUI.

IFC2 A zoomed view of the ground truth— representing a BioChem Depot with Air Defense.

IFC2 The BeliefDisplay is a fused display of all Blue Forces beliefs about the battle space. Initially we show our SAR platform (F-16c) and our strike assets (2 flights of A- 10s). The cones represent the fields- of-view of the sensors on each of our planes. Currently we have not gathered any information about opposing forces and likewise none is displayed.

IFC2 TargetFuserDisplay: Beliefs TargetInfoDisplay: Ground Truth The TargetInfoDisplay shows the Ground truth status of the targets. The TargetFuserDisplay shows fused sensor data about the targets. Currently, we have no data concerning the targets

IFC2 The cueing agent informs us of four areas of interest. –Areas of interest are displayed as red-outlined boxes The cueing agent might receive information from many sources— –HUMINT –Special Forces on ground –Etc.

IFC2 SigIntDisplay shows output from the SigInt Agent. The SigInt Agent currently can detect: –radar emissions –COM Externals The output of SigInt is used to prioritize the scanning of areas of interest.

IFC2 Based on areas of interest from cueing agent and information from SigInt, the SAR platform is tasked to fly within range (25 km) of the area to be spot scanned.

IFC2 The SAR spot scan of the area of interest is completed. Results are displayed textually on the SARInfoDisplay and graphically on the BeliefDisplay. SARSim assigns multiple possible classifications for each target. The SARInfoDisplay shows only the highest probability classification for each target. The BeliefDisplay will draw high-probability known targets or question marks for low probability and unknown targets.

IFC2 A UAV is launched to take a closer look at the area of interest (depot) and transmits back spot reports, which are fused by the Fuser and displayed by the TargetFuserDisplay. The Commander may adjust target priorities for specific targets using the TargetFuserDisplay.

IFC2 A strike is scheduled against the targets at the depot. Each A-10 is given a list of specific targets to strike.

IFC2 As the strike progresses, the A-10s launch air-to-ground missiles at the depot. The missiles’ sensor fields-of-view are displayed in black.

IFC2 As individual planes complete their missions, they are tasked to return to base.

IFC2 Note, as the strike assets attacked the depot, one or more detected the Scud site and sent a spot report to the Fuser. The report was displayed by the BeliefDisplay, as shown here.

IFC2 The TargetInfoDisplay displays the Ground truth about the target battle damage. The target items are blackened when they are unable to fire and move.
