Alternatively, Kamea has written her homework straight onto her website This is fine but you might find it takes up a lot of room and if anything goes wrong, you don’t have a back-up copy!

Scroll back up to the top. Drag ‘text’ into the blank space.

DONE! Think about how you lay your work out – you can change the font, size, colour, underlining in the task bar above

You must CLICK publish or it will not show up on your ‘live’ website – and I won’t be able to see your work!

DONE!

David uploaded his homework onto his website in a way that you can see it straightaway without downloading new documents AND he gets to keep the original.

Scroll to ‘Document and drag it onto the empty space.

CLICK Upload your document here (as previous instructions) Wait until it has uploaded!

DONE!

Other great things I have seen …

Bryoni uploaded a relevant video to accompany her work.

Matt uploaded a photo of the spellings he had been doing this term to accompany his work below.

Hannah uploaded book covers to illustrate her book reviews.

Hollie was proactive and independently thought of other things she could add to her website for English. (AND she has made it look really good!)

Takeaway Tasks At least one task needs to be completed from the list. If you are aiming high (and you should be), you should attempt more tasks) The task should be based on the topic you have been doing in lessons. If you competed a ‘Mild’ task last term, you must complete a ‘Hot’ or ‘Flaming Hot!’ task this term. Remember to think about your writing skills as well as your presentation skills.

Accelerated Reader Read for 20 minutes each day. Take a quiz on the Accelerated Reader website (link from Moodle). Present an aspect from your book in a creative way.

Complete the termly Doddle tasks on the Doddle website (read the presentations and complete the quizzes as directed). Web link from Moodle. Present the skills you have been working on in interesting way.

Spellings Learn your set of weekly spellings. Present some or all of your spellings in an impressive way.

Attention! If you have any difficulties, it is YOUR responsibility to see your teacher well in advance of the deadline. The deadline for ALL tasks is always the last week of term. Anyone not completing ALL homework tasks (to a high quality) will receive C3. No exceptions. NEED HELP: Go to the Media Suite during Tuesday or Thursday break. LS has a homework club. Your fellow classmates can help too! And don’t forget your English teacher… Lots of rewards are on offer for good and outstanding effort!!!
