OVERALL PERFORMANCE DURING THE RECESSION Even during recession ExxonMobil in 2011 U.S. consumers faced the highest average annual oil price in nearly 150 years, yet ExxonMobil continued a record-setting pace of profit.

Progress or deficit during project:

General Information Employees 83,600 (2010) Worldwide Key people: Rex Tillerson (Chairman & CEO) Rex Tillerson Community Service Assistance:  Math & Science Education  Human Rights Concerns  Women’s economic opportunities  Global Medical Help (ExxonMobil.com)

Rationale ExxonMobil is a company that provides a product that all Americans need. Fossil fuels and petrochemicals are important for powering our vehicles, heating our homes and other needs that are important. I really learned about their involvement with the community and I think that is important.

Conclusion & Overview I thought this was an interesting project. Some of my stocks did really well making me lots of money! I wish I had the power to sell the stocks that weren't doing well. I liked logging in and tracking everything that was happening in my portfolio. I think I will invest in the stock market when I make my own money.

Companies that made me money! Suspect Detection Inc. It creates technology for counter-terrorism and law enforcement purposes. It did well because it contracts with the United States Government, who uses this and needs new development.

Companies that lost money! Time Warner (-80.64): an entertainment industry company lost money because of the hard economic times of the recession. Waste Management (-286.35): is a garbage collections and recycling company. It has had more competition in the market with more companies emerging.

Advice I would give to investors! Buy Low… Sell High! Don’t give up on an investment quickly and do research on the companies you are putting your money in!
