4 Unit Summary At the end of this lesson, the students will be able to recognize predictable events in nature and understand the sequence of the life cycles of the butterfly and frog. Their knowledge of these areas will be observed in writings and drawings in their daily journals and in their finished project of an individual poster and a group PowerPoint.

What are the stages of the frog's life cycle? What is the frog called after it hatches? Which of the frogs’ legs develop first, the front or back? What must develop before the frog can breathe air?
