1 The Infirno by Lockheed Martin Lockheed Martin, a global security and aerospace company, developed a turrent-mounted infrared system Titled “Infirno”, named for the intensity of its infrared systems. "We developed Infirno to meet the evolving operational needs of our customers," said Dana Rocca, turreted systems program director at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. "The system's nine line replaceable units allow our customers to reduce overall life cycle cost and improve operational readiness and mission capability as new technology becomes available.“ The technology combines electro-optical sensors with sensor technology and allows users to “upgrade system components and perform field maintenance without removing the sensor from the vehicle, aircraft or vessel on which it is installed.” - http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/news/press-releases/2014/october/mfc- 101314-high-definition-lockheed-martin-sensor-focuses-flexibility.html http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/news/press-releases/2014/october/mfc- 101314-high-definition-lockheed-martin-sensor-focuses-flexibility.html [original article, Oct. 13 th, 2014] “Sees Without Eyes” - http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/products/infirno.html http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/products/infirno.html

Some bits and pieces of new information can be found by going from article to article. Since Lockheed Martin produces technologies on land, water, and in air, their original article is reposted on many different types of sites that relate to technological news. - http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/products/infirno.html http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/products/infirno.html

Availability and price will be determined by order quantity, Lockheed says in emailed responses to questions..” Through this article reached with Google, one is provided a link to the company’s official Twitter profile along with new information about the release date and more details about the technology not available on other sites. The site, flightglobal.com, is an aerospace news site that also contains links in the sidebar of the article to even more related information. - https://twitter.com/LockheedMartin/status/522152395938463745 https://twitter.com/LockheedMartin/status/522152395938463745 -http://worlddefencenews.blogspot.com/2014/1 0/lockheed-martin-showcasing-its-new.htmlhttp://worlddefencenews.blogspot.com/2014/1 0/lockheed-martin-showcasing-its-new.html [found through Google search engine]

4 In conclusion, Google provides better and more credible search results than Bing. With both search engines, we typed in “Infirno Lockheed Martin” identically, and with Bing, there was simply the same copied and pasted article from the original site several times, most of these copies not providing any new information or graphics at all. In Google’s results, there was much more information overall and we were provided with pictures and news about the Infirno that wasn’t established in the first article. Through Google, there was also links to the company’s Twitter (social media) profile, which were not initially available either. Google also had more relevant, informative links first, while in the Bing search, the relevant links were scattered and hidden among other links.
