Sara de Noyo “I believe photography tells a story, let me tell yours.”

Sara’s Story Sara Lynn de Noyo was born in Salem, Oregon. She is twenty years old born in 1994. She is a college student at Western Oregon University. She has taken photos her whole life, and was inspired by her mother, and Alexandra Nechita a famous painter she discovered when she was just eleven years old. She would hangout in a photo studio after school everyday for experience, but she never had an education in photography she was more of a hands on learner. Sara considers herself as a creator. She wants to impact other people’s lives by capturing the important moments they share with her. Sara’s style is very unique when it comes to taking her pictures because most of her work is happening outside. Her main focus is senior portraits, and she loves taking pictures of families as well. Sara is just an ordinary girl attending college, but taking pictures on the side is just one of her favorite hobby’s. Sara really believes everyone has a story to tell and she wants to help tell yours through photography.

This is my cousin Rishel Samson, she’s getting her senior portraits done by Ms. De Noyo. This photo was taken in 2014. To the right is miss Paige Fittz Maurice, a dear friend of mine, getting her senior portraits done featuring her dog. This was taken in 2014 aswell.

To the left is Jane Thomas taking her senior portraits. Taken in the summer of 2014. This is a picture of Ms. De Noyo herself. Here is a piece Sara captured while she was traveling over the summer.

Photo 1 Critique In the first photo of Rishel Samson, the lighting that was used was natural. She took the photos outside, you can see how the light is shining down from the side to reflect right off of the side of her head and where her hand is placed. The main subject of this photo is clearly the young lady, and her beautiful smile. You can tell she is an important part of the picture because Sara put a blurred effect in the background. This photo is so striking because she made the image so bright that when you look at Rishel she is just glowing. Sara used great lighting, since it is a portrait she really did not use the rule of thirds effect. Also when I look at this photo I see a smooth texture. I do not think that there is a story in this photo, therefore she is not trying to communicate. I chose this photo because I was there when Sara took it and seeing the results really impresses me, and I just had to choose it.

Photo 2 Critique In this photo it is miss Paige Fittz Maurice. The lighting that Sara used was natural because she took these photos outside. The lighting in this photo is coming from the background. The main subject of this photo would be Paige because its her senior picture. This photo is so striking because Sara brightened it up in the editing to make sure Paige and her dog are glowing. I feel like there is a story of Paige and her dogs relationship. The dog must be important if she's choosing her to be in the photo. I selected this photo because I love the happiness in Paige's smile. You can just tell that she's really excited to be taking this photo.

Photo 3 Critique In this photo Sara took a picture of this tree with a sunset in the background. The lighting she used was natural shooting in from the bottom. I would say the main focus of this photo is the was that the photo is half dark half light. She balanced the lighting our very well. I think this photo is so striking because it shows the true concept of the sunset in the background. The texture of this photo is almost a gloomy look because its not a super sharp image. I think the story of this photo is when Sara was on a trip she pulled over really quick to snap a shot! I really just loved the lighting of this photo and that’s why I had to choose it.

Photo 4 Critique In this next photo it is Jane Thomas from Sprague high school. The lighting that was used is artificial because it is in a flower green house. I don’t feel that certain lighting is shooting in from anywhere. It is mostly all balanced out. I think the main object in this photo is the flower because, as you can see, they blurred Jane out a little bit. I think there is a rule of thirds thing going on in this photo, and the texture is mixed between being blurry and smooth. I feel like there is no story to this photo. I selected this photo because Jane is beautiful inside, and out also I loved the pose of this photo.

Photo 5 Critique For my last photo I chose Sara herself. The lighting that was used is natural, I would say that lighting is pretty balanced out. The main subject of this photo is Ms. De Noyo herself. What makes this photo so striking is you can just see her so happy and the texture is sharp and clear. There is no story to this photo its just Sara being herself. I selected this photo because this is the photographer I chose and I would love to learn how to be just as great as her!

My Source’s I got all the pictures from Sara de Noyo’s face book page https://www.facebook.com/deNoyophotography?hc_location=timeline https://www.facebook.com/deNoyophotography?hc_location=timeline I found all my information that I researched from her own website http://www.denoyophotography.com http://www.denoyophotography.com I also learned some of this personal information from the photo shoot I went to for my cousins senior portraits.
