4. 2020 Round - International solutions In June 2015 adopted:  Economic and Social Council Resolution announcing round of Population and Housing Censuses in 2020;  CES Recommendations for the 2020 Round of Population and Housing Censuses in the UNECE region CIS region is offered to:  Accept the decision of the Council of CIS Heads on holding 2020 Round of Population and Housing Censuses in the CIS countries 4

5. 2020 Round in CIS (1) 5 1. Make a decision at the level of Heads of States to hold the upcoming population censuses as soon as possible (preferably within one calendar year) in order to improve the quality and reliability of statistical data characterizing the socio- demographic and migration processes in the CIS countries and in order to ensure cross-country comparability of the results of censuses. 2. By the decision of Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the States-Members of the CIS need to agree and approve a list of socio-economic and demographic indicators for inclusion in the program of national censuses for the purpose of international exchange of information.
