Graduation Project PowerPoints OR A TEMPLATE OF HELPFUL HINTS

Title of Your Graduation Project Presentation Name

Cheeseburgers are Delicious Mr. Rhodes

Opening Choose an opening slide to introduce your project. Use pictures or phrasing that catches the attention of your audience.

Cheeseburgers Cheeseburgers taste great. You can make cheeseburgers in hundreds of different varieties. Cheeseburgers in America are a staple of life.

Explain Why You Chose the Topic Help your audience understand why this topic is important to you. You may want to say what you hoped to learn (your expectations) and how you expected this to affect you.

I LOVE CHEESEBURGERS! Cheeseburgers are my favorite food. I saw a program on restaurants that made cheeseburgers in special ways. I wanted to learn how to make the best cheeseburgers ever. I am thinking about being a chef.

Research Organize your ideas into three major points or “chunks” Use only a few words per chunk on this slide. You may want to have a few slides with one or two points about your research.

Researching the Burger The cheeseburger was invented in 1879 by Roger Cheeseburger. Over 500 million cheeseburgers are eaten every day in the world. Cheeseburgers may be bad for you. Thesis Statement: Although cheeseburgers are extremely delicious and can have some nutritious toppings, it is important to have some variety in a daily diet.

Transition Slide: My connection Explain how your research relates to your project

Building the Perfect Burger Although my research focused on the burger’s impact on our society and part of a healthy diet, my project focused on experimenting with making many kinds of burgers in pursuit of the “perfect” cheeseburger.

First Project Slide This slide should introduce your project. You may want to use a picture from your photo collection, but you should already have had pictures going. -The starting photo of your project -A picture of where you worked -A picture of you working on the project -A picture of you working with people -Any photo that you think introduces your topic

Mike’s Burgerland I worked with Mike, the world renowned burger chef, on making the perfect burger Biff

You and Your Mentor This should be a super photo of you and your mentor. Type in his/her name, business name, or any other pertinent information.

My Mentor and Me Mike Rotch Mike’s Burgerland Mike and I working on the perfect burger. This one was great!

Steps in your project Try to organize your project in into 5 to 12 steps or events. Be able to tell stories about the pictures on the screen. You may want to use a slide for each step (recommended). Some of you may have a project where you can put two steps on a slide.. Include photos that demonstrate the progression of the development of your project.

Cooking Frying Grilling Steaming Other Tips

Buns and Toppings Lots of Toppings and Bread Mayonaise, Mustard, Ketchup Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles Less Traditional: Avocado, Jalapeno, Cucumber, Peanut Butter Sesame Buns, Pita, Sliced White Bread

Background for other media Use a slide to provide a background for your presentation of other things. For example, if you plan to present a demonstration, use this slide for a photo or an outline of the steps in a demo. If you want to show a video, use this slide to help remind you to start the video now. If you have charts or graphs, use this slide to remind you to move to your visuals now.

Closing What “life skills” did you learn? How did your results fall short of, match, or exceed your expectations? What was your favorite part? Your most challenging part? Wrap it up with a conclusion that puts all of the pieces together.

Cheeseburgers I love them now more than ever. Remember that making a great-tasting cheeseburger requires only fresh meat, good cheese, bread, and a place to cook it.

Thank You Slide Just thank your judges for their time, and this slide will also help you to remember to ask if there are any questions
