2 EWG49 9.c. PRLCE - 2/3 9.c. (1) Objective of PRLCE Objective of PRLCE: To assist volunteer APEC economy to promote low- emission power sources such as renewable energy, nuclear and fossil fuel with CCS by providing recommendations from APEC peer review experts. APERC is planning to further carry out analyses on best practices for efficient and effective policies to promote low carbon power supplies in APEC economies, and how such best practice policies can be applied, considering different conditions in different economies.

PRLCE - 3/3 Phase 1 (2012): Thailand, the Philippines Phase 2 (2013): Indonesia, Malaysia Phase 3 (2014/2015) Viet Nam to be held in 2015 (originally scheduled in July, but the Vietnamese government requested to postpone it to September/October) The project proposal of PRLCE Phase 3 was already approved for APEC budget. 7 experts (from Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Thailand) are scheduled to participate. Workshop agenda of PRLCE is under preparation by the Vietnamese side and the review team. 9.c. (2) History and future of PRLCE
