13 Copyright © 2003 Pearson Education, Inc. Slide 8-12 Summary Before you publish your Shockwave project, carefully review the Director file with an eye to reducing its file size. Concentrate on minimizing sound and paint cast members. Then test your project on both platforms, with both browsers. Use the publishing function of Director to save the fully reviewed and tested project as a Shockwave file embedded in an HTML page. Then test again. Post the Shockwave file, the HTML page, and any linked media to a Web server, and test the project a third time. As you publish and post your project, consider the needs of users by providing specific information about your project on the referring Web page.
