2. Agriculture  After the war, agriculture was not the dominant industry it was in the past.  Farmers grew less cotton  Started growing peanuts, soybeans, corn and raising chickens.

Atlanta Grows!  People moved from the country to urban and suburban areas.  Businesses moved to ATL  Economy Diversified – there were many different industries and businesses which created jobs  Transportation Grew * Hartsfield International Airport * MARTA  Why did so many people move to Atlanta?
