2 Facts about Australia Australia is the driest inhabited continent on earth. The Australian federation consists of six States and two Territories. Its interior has one of the lowest rainfalls in the world and about three-quarters of the land is arid or semi-arid. Australia is the only nation to govern an entire continent and its outlying islands.

3 Where is Australia located? Australia is one of the Oceania countries - it is located between the South Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. This is a developed country. It is one of the wealthiest countries of the world covering a total of 7,741,220 sq.km of area. It is the sixth largest country of the world.
