2 Mount Rushmore In 1937 a bill was introduced to appropriate money to add Susan B. Anthony to Mount Rushmore the bill was marked up to use the money to finish the four faces Already started. Built by Gutzon Borglum for just under $1 million.

3 Mount Rushmore The idea was initially credited to Doane Robinson, a South Dakota historian The idea was implemented and carried out by Gutzon Borglum (died 1941) and his son Lincoln completed. The four faces were initially supposed to be carved into the Needles along Needles Highway and were rejected by Borglum. The idea is rooted in controversy between the Lakota and the White man, since the Black Hills (Mako Sica) was taken from the Native Americans, which led to the creation of the Crazy Horse monument near Custer in 1971. Mount Rushmore attracts, give or take, around 2 million tourists a years. Little known fact that Gutzon Borglum himself was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

4 Oahe Dam Project The Oahe Dam Project came out of the Flood Control Act of 1944. The Project was built by the Army Corp of Engineers.

USACE-United States Army Corp of Engineers is the world's largest public engineering, design and construction management agency Most of the Western shore of the Oahe Dam is reservation land belonging to the Native Americans between two reservations (Standing Rock and Cheyenne River). Although nobody know exactly where Sitting Bull is buried one of the two most believed sites are near Mobridge along the Lake Oahe and another at Fort Yates, North Dakota also along the Missouri River.

7 Yankton Bridge Project (2009) Legislation has been passed to rebuilt the Yankton Bridge. The Bridge is a double decker bridge that has connected South Dakota with Nebraska in 1925.

8 SD Rodeo Museum Project Legislation has been passed to appropriate $150,00 towards the building of a South Dakota Rodeo Museum.
