3  MYP projects are student- centered and age- appropriate.  Participate in sustained, self- directed inquiry within a global context.  MYP projects help students to develop the attributes of the Learner Profile.  MYP projects provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate ATL skills developed through their MYP experience over the length of the program.  They foster the developments of independent, livelong learners.

5  Each student will get assigned a supervisor based on topic or product idea  Mentors advise, they do NOT do research for you, write your report, determine which product/outcome you will create, determine a goal for you, etc….  Each mentor may have UP TO 4 students to mentor  You will meet with your mentor once every two weeks (twice a month)  Goal setting and monitoring – provide feedback  Facilitate neighborhood or school communication  Assessment of each project that your students create

6  Projects can be about anything of interest to the student (within reason obviously)  Students will not submit the entire journal, only 4-5 excerpts  Students will submit an IB cover sheet with their project  All projects must be graded by the end of March because they will be submitted to IB in early April  An academic honesty form (pg. 55- 56) will be filled out throughout the project by both the student and mentor
